Forthcoming talks and events

Lately we undertook an exploratory look at the Elizabeth Line and the Uber Boats Clipper service on the Thames in London.

The Clipper affords convenient and speedy access to riverside venues and the last trip included Battersea Power Station, the interior an surroundings of which are transformed to an attractive shopping and residential area.

The Group has recently undertaken a Rail Trip to the city of Winchester and had a careful look at the Cathedral and stroll about the town, fitting-in lunch before returning home. This proved to be very popular and a programme is being developed. See Below.

We also try to fit in a local informal lunch with our wives/partners; a recent one was at the Rose &  Crown in Green Street Green and previous meals at – the Miller & Carter in West Wickham and the Sydney Arms in Chislehurst, amongst others.

If you have a favoured lunch venue that you think could host a Probus informal lunch; please contact Paul Scott who organises these popular events.

Details of all events will be published and notified to members, at the monthly formal lunch meetings at Oakley House.

Can members attending the “Formal Lunches” at Oakley House please ensure that they have paid the treasurer, or notified him of their non-attendance, by the Friday morning of the previous week at the latest. This will prevent the Group paying Oakley House catering for unused lunches.
