CORONAVIRUS and COVID19 – Is the end in sight?
As the emergency starts to be eased by Government relaxation, Bromley Probus is beginning to organise activities once again.
During the emergency our Secretary General has kept us in touch, mainly by e-mail relaying amusing items submitted by members. We have also enjoyed Zoom talks on several subjects, the last being a photographic tour of Prague, a most photogenic city.
Your Committee has not been idle during the pandemic; taking into account the changed circumstances brought about by the virus a new Constitution has been unanimously agreed by the Committee members and endorsed by the members at the Annual General Meeting of 2022.
We propose to take advantage of our entitlement to Freedom Passes, issued free of charge by the London Borough of Bromley. We hope to arrange ” Rail Trips” visits to places of interest essentially by train. The first of these was to Walthamstow, where among other attractions is the William Morris Gallery – an opportunity to view many of that famous artist’s creations and to buy souvenirs. This was on, September 15th, meeting at Bromley South Station at 09:25.
Details of other events will be announced shortly.
