Lately we took an exploratory look at the Elizabeth Line and next Uber Boats Clipper service on the Thames in London.
The Clipper affords convenient and speedy access to riverside venues and the last trip included Battersea Power Station, the interior an surroundings of which are transformed to an attractive shopping and residential area.
We also had a Rail Trip to the city of Winchester and had a careful look at the Cathedral and stroll about the town, fitting-in lunch before returning home. This proved to be very popular and a programme is being developed. See Below.
We also try to fit in a local informal lunch with our wives/partners; the last was at the Rose and Crown in Green Street Green and the previous – the Miller and Carter in West Wickham.
